A visit today to MSQ,in fairly windy and cooler conditions than of late resulted in very few dragons being seen, but i did manage to find a female Emerald Damselfly and a cracking female Southern Hawker, see attached images. She allowed a really close up approach and i got some cracking photos, this species is never in big density here, unlike Crowle, but i still managed 3 insects today,2 males and this female. Not great today, but the Female Southern Hawker saved the day!.
My blog will be mainly used to display photographs and a diary of sightings of the many species of Dragonfly and Damselfly occurring in my adopted home County of Lincolnshire with occasional i.d. features to some of the trickier species and occasional visits further afield.
